This concept presents a new design for a pavement banner. Its purpose is to support the collaboration between our client and a blow-moulding manufacturing partner, while also challenging existing industry and manufacturing norms.
The idea centres on a fundamental property of blow-moulded parts: their hollow core can be filled with water. When filled, the weight stabilises the pavement sign and prevents it from moving during use. To make the sign easy to transport, wheels are integrated into the base—simply tip and roll it to position it wherever needed.
To minimise tooling costs, the left and right blow-moulded components are identical. The entire design packs down efficiently, resulting in a compact size for shipping and storage. Assembly is quick and straightforward, requiring only a few Allen-key bolts. Innovative cone wedges lock the structure firmly in place, ensuring a stable and robust sign once assembled. Integrated graphic channels allow for double-sided, slide-in/slide-out panels that can accommodate concave or convex graphic options.
