ELECTRONIC SWITCHING AC/DC POWER SUPPLY FOR USE IN THE CLASSROOM
BRIEF:
Asked to create a custom professional looking design to follow clients branding and ethos, on a shoe-string budget.
SOLUTION:
- Using a common Injection moulded part for front and rear drastically drops cost.
- Integrated design includes feet and handle into mouldings.
- Utilising off-the-shelf connectors, switches & LED component, reduced project timescales whilst reducing costs.
- Zealous safety thinking throughout the design process through additional earthing, baffled ventilation holes and insulated heat sinks resulted in passing the stringent CE & UL certification on the first attempt.
