The Product

Pierre, the visionary founder behind Chiru and CEC components, recognised the growing demand for a high-performance all-mountain full suspension MTB. Known for their exceptional craftsmanship in producing Titanium Gravel and all-road cycles, Chiru aimed to extend their product range. Pierre turned to Mouse to collaborate on the development of a cutting-edge full suspension mountain bike that would exceed expectations.

The Process

Beginning by creating 2D sketches to establish the essential geometry and suspension kinematics, we swiftly transitioned to 3D to verify clearances and tube profiles. Utilising FEA, we validated profiles and weld lengths before sharing full engineering drawings with the factory. Testing commenced over a 12-month period, starting with a rough mule to validate the concept. Multiple iterations of titanium samples were tested with target users and elite riders from across the globe as the process advanced. Following the approval of the frame, we collaborated with Fox suspension to conduct tests and develop custom shock tunes for the suspension.

Independent press review
““…this mountain bike is distinguished by its ease of grip. Although equipped with aggressive geometry, this Savage is anything but an extreme all-mountain (bike).”

“The balance between stability and maneuverability is perfectly adjusted, the pedaling position is neutral. Whether uphill or downhill, you feel good on this mountain bike.”
