Whilst our work may seem like it’s all about colouring in, the reality is that we spend a great deal of time diving into spreadsheets, complex calculations, and engineering challenges. But every now and then, we get the chance to let our creativity shine.
Take, for example, the project where we were tasked with designing a collection of curtain rails inspired by an upcoming launch of children’s bedroom accessories. Putting ourselves in the shoes of our inner 6-year-old selves, we brainstormed ideas that would truly captivate young imaginations.
Once our ideas took flight, we shifted our focus to the practical side of things. Thinking about the parents who would be putting up these curtain rails, we simplified both the buying and installation processes, making DIY a breeze.
Though these designs didn’t make it to production, our user-centric approach and playful innovation caught the attention of the Kingfisher buying team, opening doors to future collaborations and sales opportunities.
This project is a perfect example of how a perfect blend of creativity, practicality, and a touch of fun can lead to exciting new possibilities in the world of design.
If you’re looking for innovative design solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
